Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2015

It’s safe to say that three years ago when I was adding posts to Tumblr like this one  I did not expect to be sat here three years later writing this.

The Cosmopolitan Blog Awards have been a mental goal of mine for the last year or so. Currently somewhat more tangible career wise than the Oscars, they are arguably the biggest Blog Awards in the UK and previous finalists have had wonderful recognition as a result of being involved.

Last month, when this year’s awards were announced, I asked my friends to nominate me. There may have been the (false) promise of a drink involved for doing so. On Monday I found out that by nothing short of what can only be described as the biggest stroke of luck, Adventures Of A Nice Girl made the shortlist for Best Travel Blog.

No I don’t know how it happened either. And I took me many checks to ensure it wasn’t just a really cruel typo. My travel posts have always been my favourite to produce and I’m so happy that other people might just get some enjoyment out of them too.
