Today marks four years since the Opening Ceremony of London 2012.
You can read more of my thoughts on my involvement and that memorable time here but now with only nine days to go until the torch is passed to the next Opening Ceremony, the final countdown to Rio 2016 is well and truly on.
Now you’d think the prestigious athletes of Team GB would be hidden away training in elite camps but it seems like in amongst being Olympic heroes they still found time to let their hair down and sing into a hairbrush…or, erm, inflatable microphone.
In honour of their #Superfans, Team GB athletes have joined together to bring them something special. In an impressive lip-sync off to Worship by Years & Years, Great Britain’s athletes show us some of their finest dance moves and while it’s clear to see that winning medals isn’t their only talent, I think it’s safe to say they’re on the right track (you’re welcome) by choosing that one to invest their time in.
Starring some of the biggest names for this year’s upcoming games in Rio including Tom Daley, Louis Smith and Nicola Adams take a couple of minutes today to enjoy the video Panasonic have created and reacquaint yourselves with the faces that are soon to be everywhere this summer.
The Olympic buzz is already creeping in and I really hope some of the magic from that summer four years ago finds its way back across the pond next month. With all eyes firmly on Rio, I know I for one can’t wait to see what they do.
Good luck Team GB, we’re all cheering for you.
